Kate's Dance Recital

Kate performed in her second dance recital last Saturday. It was a stressful week because she was sick and ended up having to miss 2 rehearsals. Thankfully she was better by dress rehearsal, so she was able to be in the performance. She LOVES being able to dance on the big stage in front of everyone. Watching her dance is one of my favorite things. And I know her dad agrees. Everytime he sees her on the big stage he cries.

This year Kate was in Ballet and Tap. She calles her tap shoes her "clicky clacky shoes".

Happy Birthday Daddy!

It seems like the months of May and June are a total whirlwind. There's Mother's Day, Abby's Birthday, Graduations, Josh's Birthday, Andrew's Birthday and Father's Day. Whew...no wonder I'm exhausted! I always feel like Josh's Birthday doesn't get special attention it deserves. Thankfully he is always happy with whatever I throw together and doesn't get tired of Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cakes! If you notice, little Kate isn't in any of the pictures because she was in bed sick with a fever. She did end up coming downstairs around 10:00 and was able to give Josh the birthday card she had made for him.

Down on the Farm!

Abby's birthday party this year took place at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead. Her original party date was rained out, so we rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I am so glad that we did! Everyone had so much fun! We were busy riding ponies, fishing, feeding baby goats, mining (Andrew's Favorite), and going on horse-drawn hayrack rides. It was a perfect day!

Abby was hilarious when feeding the baby goats. She didn't want the goats to have the bottle. As soon as one would get ahold of it, she would try her hardest to take it away.

Mimi and Papa's house has a neighborhood pond that is full of fish. While we were there last time we took Andrew and Kate fishing. Although Andrew is not the most patient fisherman (understatement), the kids still had a good time.
